Collection and Transport of Waste Batteries and Accumulators
The transportation of waste accumulators by road from the place where they are collected to the temporary storage or disposal facilities, within the scope of your notification to Ekor Metal, is carried out by real and legal persons who have received a transport license from the Governor’s Office, with our vehicles that have a waste battery transport license.
Obligation to Carry a Transport Form in Vehicles
During the transportation of waste batteries and accumulators, a waste transportation form is kept in our vehicles. Regarding the waste transport forms to be kept in the vehicles, the relevant provisions of the Hazardous Waste Control Regulation are applied. As Ekor Metal, scrap battery recovery activities are carried out in three main processes. As a result of recycling, lead, lead derivatives and plastic that form batteries are recovered. Crushing Separation: The unit breaking and separating with its closed circuit hydrodynamic operating logic breaks the accumulators untouched by hand and separates them and transports them to the stock area. Lead and lead derivatives, which decompose after the battery is disintegrated, are melted in high-temperature furnaces to obtain raw lead as ingots. The raw lead coming out of the melting section is transformed into qualified lead ingots by going through the cleaning and alloying process during the refining process.
During the lead production phase, until the production and final control, the lead is subjected to physical and chemical measurements and controls at certain periods to ensure that it is of the desired quality. The highest quality lead is produced by examining the 19 elements in lead at the PPM level.
